The site idea is decided. It is established that the site will be geared towards musicians and musical instruments.
I had begun writing the articles seen on the front page. I initially wrote them in Notepad and when the site was eventually finished, I just transferred them over.
I laid out the site design in Word and sent it via email for approval. Most of the design can still be seen in the final product.
The site is born as an Expressions template. Originality is an issue, but the site has finally taken an actual shape as a Web site. I had begun considering possible options for the content. A rough first logo is created, as well as a graphic that was put through a bump map filter.
The site is modified slightly. A few of the content bars at the top are deleted, and background colors are adjusted.
I considered getting rid of the link bar at the top, changing the color scheme, and the text layout of the site. The links on the right were also unsatisfactory, and the logo needed anti aliasing or a complete revamp. The logo eventually underwent a revamp that was never seen before the 3rd and final logo was used.
Not much change is implemented yet, but I have done some contemplating. I am just not pleased with the layout or overall feel.
In one big overhaul, the site is completely redone and completed. The original site design is scrapped completely and the new site implements a CSS template that was customized by me. All of the original content was transferred over and the Youtube clips had to be modified for width because of the CSS div container column in the center. Most importantly, a new feature, the sound check, was added. All recording was done by me in one night.
This site will frequently be updated. As I progress through Web Design II, the home page will transform. Links will consistently be updated with JavaScript work, as well.
